Position: Assistant Brewer
Reports to: Head Brewer/Brew Master (HB/BM)
Location: 1015 Grant St. SE Atlanta, GA 30315
Job Description: Working as an essential part of the Production team to consistently manufacture great craft beer for our consumers. As the Assistant Brewer you will work directly under the HB/BM whose standards will be followed on a daily basis. This position will be optimal for somebody who is wishing to break into professional brewing or who wants to expand their already existing career. The ideal candidate will be someone who is helpful in creating new ideas, brew one offs, run a barrel program, fill firkins, and expand our brand in the best way. This job will be challenging yet rewarding involving physical and mental demands with varying hours and schedules.

Maintain consistent cleanliness and organization of assigned work space.
Follow all standard operating procedures diligently.
Follow recipes and produce wort on a 5 bbl brew house.
CIP of fermenters, brite tanks, and kegs.
Regular maintenance of tap room draft lines.
Proper yeast management.
Assist in maintaining a barrel program.
Maintain proper documentation on all steps of production.
Filling kegs and running the canning line
Perform maintenance on equipment and troubleshoot issues.
Be able to communicate clearly and effectively with all team members.
Be a positive representative of the Brewery at all times.
Be available to assist with onsite Brewery functions and offsite events.
1+ years of brewing experience
Working knowledge of Microsoft office programs.
Organized and detail oriented.
Ability to problem solve in a high pace environment.
Ability to work and communicate effectively with others.
Flexible schedule with availability on nights and weekends.
The ability to lift 55 lbs. on your own.
Ability to navigate a confined work space.
Work safely around heavy machinery and dangerous chemicals.
High School diploma or equivalent.
Prior brewing experience.
Education or certification from a certified brewing school.
An individual with a commercial driver’s license.
BJCP and / or Cicerone certifications
Pay will be competitive with industry standards and experience level.
